Trims & notes

• 4 cm woven elastic (~90 cm)
• Flat drawcord 1.2 cm (waist, ~150 cm)
• Round drawcord 0.4 cm (hems, ~2 x 60 cm)
• Two-hole cord locks x2
• Metal eyelets x2 (waist)
• #3 coil zips 16 cm (x2, pockets)
• Mesh pocketing
• Woven label (inside back waist)
• Measure the waist with the elastic relaxed and say so on the size chart. A 40 cm relaxed waist stretches to roughly 54 cm; a factory that measures it stretched will cut the elastic short and every pair will be tight.
• The elastic must be cut shorter than the casing, typically 88% of the finished waist. Specify the ratio, not just the length, or the grade will drift.
• Bar-tack both ends of every pocket zip. Nylon taslan tears from an unsecured zip end faster than any other fabric on this list.
• 26 cm leg opening on a 35 cm thigh is the point of the pant. Do not let the factory 'balance' it to 30 cm — the straight fall is what separates this from the v4 flared block.
• Taslan shows needle holes permanently. Fresh needle at the start of the run, and no unpicking.
